Dear Wayne, is it correct to call "German" german in Interlingue, or does one have to add lingue, that means "lingue german"? Hi Manie,

"German" is just "german" unless it's unclear from the context that you're referring to the language, in which case you use "lingue german" or "german lingue", according to your preferences--though "lingue german" is preferred, according to the general rule (Haase, Grammatica de Interlingue in Interlingue):

"...li adjective o atribut adjectivic deve preceder o sequer ínmediatmen li substantive relativ. In general it precede, si it es curt o caracteristic, ma seque, si it es long o complementari."

Dear Wayne, I want to thank you very much for your work on the dictionary. Learning and writing in Interlingue makes me simply very happy. I was desperately searching for a good dictionary. Now I've found the best one. Maybe sometime in the future you'll hear about me being someone in the Interlingue scene:-) Sorry for writing in English (it's against my philosophy), but I didn't want to make a fool of myself because of my childish Interlingue level.
